Phone-A-Thon

6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Phone-A-Thon date this year is December 3 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Portland Service Center (9620 SW Barbur Boulevard). The Phone-A-Thon is always a fun-filled night of calling local Girl Scout families to help support the many opportunities that the Council provides. Examples of this include the Opportunity Fund, which gives girls who would not otherwise be able to participate in Girl Scouts the opportunity to do so by helping defray the cost of membership dues and basic uniform components; allowing the council to continue providing exceptional adult training programs; and ensuring the safety and upkeep of each Girl Scout property. Dinner will be provided. The VISTA that has the most participation* will be allowed to select the Girl Scout site of their choice for a weekend stay free of charge.**

Donate to Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington
Personal Check. You can make your gift to the Girl Scouts with your personal check, simply send it in or visit the office in person. We would be happy to meet you.
Credit Card. GSOSW offers you the convenience of making your gift with your credit card. We currently accept Mastercard and Visa. If you are making a credit card gift, please be sure to include your card number, expiration date, name, address and amount of your gift.
Pledges. A pledge is a promise to give a certain amount of money over a certain period of time. Perhaps you would like to make a larger gift to the Girl Scouts, but it would strain your budget to make the gift all at once. GSOSW accepts pledges and would be happy to provide you with payment reminders monthly, quarterly or at times requested by you.
Memorial and tribute gifts are a thoughtful way to remember a loved one or friend and to celebrate special occasions. Consider asking friends to donate to Girl Scouts in your name instead of spending money on a birthday gift, or give the gift of Girl Scouting to someone who can't afford it in honor of your daughter's Gold Award. Gift acknowledgements are sent to the donor and to the families and/or individuals being remembered and honored. Donations are also honored in the Collage newsletter that is mailed to 5,000 Girl Scout volunteer households.
Car Donations are easy to do and provide important revenue for Girl Scouts as well as a tax deduction for the donor. Simply contact the Fund Development Department with information on your vehicle, and we take it from there. Your car will be picked up at a location and time convenient for you. We accept vehicles in almost any condition.
Matching Gifts are often possible through employers who have matching gift programs. Usually these programs match a donor's gift dollar for dollar, doubling your support for Girl Scouts! Local companies like Nike and PGE have these programs. Are you taking advantage of them? You can find out if your employer has such a program by contacting your Human Resources department.
Planned Gifts make it possible for you to leave a lasting legacy to Girl Scouts by helping guarantee the future of Girl Scout of Oregon and Southwest Washington. Include us in your will, living trust, gift annuity, or with an outright cash endowment gift.
Gifts of Stock can be transferred from your account to Girl Scouts. Contact the VP of Finance for more information.
United Way gifts can be designated to the charity of your choice. You will receive information on this option during the annual United Way campaign in your workplace. Please remember Girl Scouts!
In-Kind Contributions of supplies, contract services, or a variety of equipment ranging from computers to tools are always welcome. Contact the Fund Development Office for specific information
